Jane Austen Tour with Coffee and Cake 3rd June

Tours will be taking place on the first Saturday of the month from February to November 2017 at:

Winchester Cathedral, The Close, Winchester, SO23 9LS

Jane Austen died in Winchester in 1817, in rented rooms in College Street. She was buried in the north aisle of the Cathedral. This tour offers visitors an intimate and often amusing insight into her life and connections with the Cathedral. The tour will include a walk through the Cathedral’s historic Inner Close to the house on College Street where Jane and Cassandra stayed during their time in Winchester.
Tour lasts about one hour.

Walk – Women in Winchester: Stuart Monarchs & Mistresses 3rd June 2017

The Grange Festival 7th June -9th July 2017

Winchester Comedy Night 8th  June

Open Mic Comedy

In an open mic format, Guildhall Winchester welcome budding comedians onto their small stage in the Wintonian Room on the first Thursday of every month. From stand up, to musical comedy there is something for everyone.

Hat Fair 30th June-2nd July


Hat Fair is the UK’s longest running festival of outdoor arts, set across the historic city of Winchester.

In 2015, performances ranged from hidden gypsy fairgrounds to theatrical hatters, from pop-up surprises and swing-dancing streets to magical moments of calm amidst the hustle and bustle.
